Parkinson’s Dance Wisconsin: Formerly Moving and Grooving
Parkinson’s Dance Wisconsin formerly known as Moving and Grooving sponsored by The Exercise Studio, offers an adaptive movement class that has been developed by dance and exercise professionals. The class has been designed specifically for people with Parkinson’s Disease and is open to all that want to move. Have fun and “feel the beat” while improving posture, balance, flexibility, mobility and walking gait. Enjoy moving, laughing and interacting with others while improving activities of daily living. Prior dance experience and a partner is not required.
This dance class, originally designed for people in the Parkinson’s community, is now open to anyone seeking lifelong comfort and ease in their body movements. Feel better, function more efficiently and enjoy life more fully! Feel the beat of varied music as you improve your coordination, balance and posture. Regain confidence in your body. Discover your creativity in motion. This class is adaptable to all abilities. Options include dancing in a chair, standing and moving across the floor. Stay young at heart while being with others who are dancing through life!
